Amy’s Journey
I was feeling pretty rubbish and lacking in any sort of confidence at the start on 2023 so decided I needed to make a change and get going to the gym consistently. Whilst I did stick to this I wasn't really seeing much progress. I would try and lift weights but feel very unsure of myself and my form, so I didn't want to lift heavy in case I hurt myself.
I saw a Learn to Lift Workshop advertised at the gym and thought I would give it a go. Jay was running the workshop focused on deadlifts and it was super informative (realised my form was indeed rubbish and not very safe!)
I decided right away to sign up to Group PT sessions with Jay in September 2023 and I have loved the process much. I love exercising in a social setting every week but the groups are small enough so that Jay can still give you important individual advice on form and exercises. I've seen amazing progress finally, now I have structure in the gym. Jay also gave me a programme to follow when I go to the gym on my own, and this time I actually know what I'm doing on my own thanks to Jay!
Now in 2024, I've seen amazing progress in only a matter of months. Not just in my body composition but also hitting some PBs I never thought I'd be able to. My confidence in myself has grown so much since working with Jay and it's truly done wonders for my mental health. The sessions are so fun and Jay is such top guy, so good at making you feel at ease, hyping you up and keeping you motivated when you feel like giving up. Can't recommend enough - an excellent PT!!
Mike’s Journey
I started with Jay after having a taster session with him a few months ago. I definitely felt that he could put together a plan that would get me to my goals much quicker than I could do on my own. It's been a couple of months and so far, I am over the moon. He takes time in the one to one sessions to ensure your form is perfect to avoid any injuries when starting to add weight, this I can't thank him enough for as a previous back injury made me apprehensive about certain exercises.
recently did a 6 week comparison from where I started and couldn't be
happier with my results, l'd lost 2.4kg of body fat, gained 1.4kg of muscle and reduced my body fat percentage by 2.6%.
Visually I am much happier too as I can start to see my body changing shape which is a great reward for all the early mornings. Bring on the next 6 weeks!
